GLS worked on the modernization of this campus’ fine arts building and the construction of a new performing arts center.

The updated Arts Plaza provides access to the lower parking lot serving both the new Science building and the Performing Arts building.  GLS was responsible for a new stormwater-management planting bed in front of the building, new accessible parking, future pedestrian and emergency access to the Arts Plaza, and integration of one of the Campus’ main entries. For the second phase of the complex, GLS created a new Performing Arts Plaza with seating which doubles as a display area, an integrated, gracious ramp and stair to the lower parking lot, and oval planters in the plaza. This plaza was designed to direct storm water through the planters for filtration and into the adjacent, existing redwood grove, which was carefully preserved from the planning process onward.
