Justin Frodesen

Justin Frodesen has worked with GLS since 2000, and in that time has had a hand in nearly every project type that comes through the office.

His focus is construction: the details, submittals, shop drawings, and field observation that carry a design from drawing to built work. His project experience includes the Exploratorium at Pier 15, 140 New Montgomery, the New Stanford Hospital (with Rafael Viñoly Architects), Transbay Block 9 (with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill), and Station Park Green in San Mateo. His early work at the firm included UC Berkeley’s Residence Hall Units 1 & 2, which received a 2006 ASLA National Honor Award and a 2006 Berkeley Design Advocates Award of Excellence. Justin holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and policy from Duke University, with coursework emphasizing plant ecology.
